-Certified professional in packaging and handling (IoPP)

-Certified manufacturing engineer (SME)

-Honors and awards: Packaging Hall of Fame (PEF); Fellow Member, Member of the Year, Lifetime Member (IoPP); Fellow Member (ASTM); Annual Packaging Award (NIPHLE)

-Professionally, active in the following organizations:

    ASTM- chairman of Committee D-10 on Packaging for 4 terms, subcommittee chairman,   task group chairman for development/review of 7 standards 

    IoPP- past president of SPHE (IoPP predecessor), chair of Technical Liaisons group, past chair of Transport Packaging Committee  

   ANSI-  chairman of MH-10 Committee on Transport Packages and Unit Loads,   member of MH-1 Committee on Pallets            

   ISO- head of USA delegation to ISO Technical Committee 122 on Packaging

   Member of ISTA, NIPHLE, and TAPPI
